Supervisory Groups allow organizations using Village EHR to manage scheduling and note co-signing across members of their team. You can create a group and assign different permissions based on your organization’s needs.

Setting Up a Supervisory Group

  1. Click on your organization in the left-hand sidebar.

  2. Select Supervision.

  3. Create a new supervisory group.

  4. Add the appropriate team members and select the permissions they should have.

Understanding the Roles

When setting up your group, you can designate team members as a Scheduler, Co-Signer, or Supervisor.

Scheduler
A Scheduler can manage appointments for providers in the group. This includes creating and editing appointments on their behalf.

Co-Signer
A Co-Signer can review and co-sign documentation for providers in the group. When a provider completes a note that requires a co-signature, it will be routed to the designated Co-Signer.

Supervisor
A Supervisor has both Scheduler and Co-Signer permissions. They can create and edit appointments for providers in the group, as well as review and co-sign their notes.

Reviewing Notes That Need a Co-Signature

Once co-signing is set up for your organization, notes requiring your co-signature will automatically appear in your Action Items within Village.

From Action Items, you can see which notes are waiting for your review and complete the co-signing process.

Tip: Make sure each provider is assigned to the appropriate supervisory group and has the correct Co-Signer or Supervisor designated so notes are routed to the right person.
