TL;DR: Village can require parent signatures on session documentation β especially helpful for Regional Center compliance. Enable it per patient, and caregivers get push notifications to sign digitally (or sign on-site during the session).
Overview
Village allows providers to require parent or caregiver signatures on session documentation before it can be completed. This is useful for compliance, transparency, and keeping families engaged in the care process.
This feature is particularly helpful for providers working with Regional Center patients, where parent signatures are often required to meet compliance requirements.
How to enable parent signatures
Go to the patient's Info tab in Village.
Enable the setting that indicates the patient requires a parent signature on documentation.
What happens next
Once enabled:
Sessions cannot be marked as complete without a parent signature.
Village automatically sends a push notification to the caregiver when a signature is needed.
An action item appears in the caregiver's task list prompting them to sign off with a digital signature.
Collecting signatures on-site
If the parent is present during the session, the provider can collect the signature on-site directly with the patient's caregiver β no need to wait for them to sign remotely.
